Nearly 2 million Californians are enrolled in Covered California, with over 360,000 in the Bay Area. From 2021 to 2025, statewide enrollment grew from 1.63 million to 1.98 million, driven by a 39% rise in new enrollments and 19% in renewals. Bay Area enrollment increased 5.9%, led by Alameda and Santa Clara counties. Most counties saw growth, except Solano, which declined slightly. Changes to federal policy could increase uninsured rates by 2034.
